Can we please have a return to real hip-hop. The destruction of hip-hop is pervasive and has existed for decades. We need to return to hip-hop owned and produced by the performers. Cut out the labels, the industry's expectations, and the commercialism. A transformation is in order for the future of hip-hop or we will be bound to repeat the commercialist uninteresting music of the past decade.
A prime example is Erick and Parrish Making Dollars (EPMD.) EPMD are well known for changing the hip-hop culture for the better. Check out an all-time classic, "You Gots to Chill," a return to real hip-hop.

The Best Niggas are Back: The Return of EPMD
This can't be real. If it is I'm soooooo stoked. We Mean Business is set to be relased Dec. 9. Which means you need to add it to the albums you PAYED for this year.
EPMD is performing at Santo's House in Little Italy this Monday Dec. 8, 2008. I will be in the house and I hope to see anyone else who is anybody to be their too.
