Rapper's persona is appealing on new EP
His most recent project, "Stoned Poets Society EP," is bound only by the creativity of an artist on the brink of years of hard work and growth. The album is a mix of past experiences with girlfriends, hope for the future, and other previous paths rambled in recent life.
While the University of Vermont (UVM) student is the epitome of a Jack of all trades, juggling school, a burgeoning musical-in studio career, he is now taking his career to the stage. In a text message Jacob Es said,
Recording my first project I never really thought about how many people would actually listen to my stuff, at that point, it was solely about the love for the writing process. That mixtape was also my first experience in the studio ever, which definitely helped me begin to find my sound.
Performing for people is the ultimate experience for any musician. For me, I know how much each song means when I write it, and to be able to share that moment and be able to connect with even one person listening and have them walk out saying, 'Damn, I really know what he was getting at,' is what it's all about.
Driven to succeed ahead of his competitors, Jacob Es and his fans should be a looking back on, "Stoned Poets Society EP," as a great catalyst for future growth.

A warning shot for hip-hop
Can we please have a return to real hip-hop. The destruction of hip-hop is pervasive and has existed for decades. We need to return to hip-hop owned and produced by the performers. Cut out the labels, the industry's expectations, and the commercialism. A transformation is in order for the future of hip-hop or we will be bound to repeat the commercialist uninteresting music of the past decade.
A prime example is Erick and Parrish Making Dollars (EPMD.) EPMD are well known for changing the hip-hop culture for the better. Check out an all-time classic, "You Gots to Chill," a return to real hip-hop.

New Era
The work is magnificent, breathtaking and impactful. Right now Ye is like a rifle bullet hurling into the sky, maybe one day he'll return in the form of a "hole in the wall" as the bullet is recaptured by gravity. President Obama needs to reup his Ipod. If he does their may be national consequences. Like ignorance to the break up of global trends like sound finance, separation of religion, conjoining of international borders, and supposed historical alliances. The effects of the album are Earth changing.
Kanye has mixed genres so much there isn't a reason to point to one genre over another and say, "I like that one more than another." My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is the greatest all encompassing popular album in the last 15 years. Samples from music have been taken to a new level of excellence, no one can ever say again sampling music is stealing. Ye's character and nurturing ability to rework master pieces is no less impressive then creating one. Kanye's talents are superseded only by the cooperative teamwork it took to get the album to press.
Working hard on Def Jam's budget made it all come together. A corporate america success story for sure. The album is innovative, special, awesome, and could have only come from one nation, the United States of America, Kanye's a true citizen. And a real sculptor of his environment. Awesome doesn't cut it, community enhancement and personal excellence are admirable. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is an eclectic addition to the international musical catalog and American's libraries.

Forever Young
This Blueprint 3 is the dirtiest album I've heard all year. It tops everything I can imagine at the moment. It's on a level above everyone else in the World. HOV is truly still all on his shit. An unbelievable effort must have gone into what I think might be album of the year. Four times I heard tracks on the all new Blueprint 3 and thought I heard the album's best track. But it wasn't until I finished that I realized that Forever Young is the dirtiest tracks, maybe it's up there with Sweet Dreams and Michael Jackson tracks.
Jigga's track with GOOD music artist Mr. Hudson, "Forever Young," is a phenomenal cap to a contemporary album in true Jay-Z fashion he has captured our 08-09 moments so very well. Looking back the track might be to short...
Jay-Z has lots of help on tracks on this album, artists like Kid CuDi, Kanye West, J. Cole, Swizzy, Alicia Keys, Young Jeezy, Pharrell, and of course Rihanna, help frame it especially well, without any overkill.
Thank HOV Jockin Jay-Z isn't on the album. Make sure to cope this fire on Sept 11, when it drops, it's gonna go super plat- only Jay-Z album since American Gangster, even in the recession it'll murder "wack MCs" in their dreams.
Additionally I'll be in the house for Jay-Z's only NYC concert a 9/11 for Charity event in the Garden on Friday September 11, 2009. There is much more to come.
